List by where it's worn[]
I really like how you have the pictures for all the various armor types, however, since the level requirment for the armors is a significantly broad range, perhaps it would be good to either list armors by where they're worn (helmet, gloves, shoes...). We could still have both sortings. Also, I'm working on a {{Armor}} template so it will be easier to list them and if by any chance someone wants to change the formating, they can do so by simply modifying the template instead of each individual entry. I've already made a {{Weapon}} template and {{Monster}} template, but they still need some modifications. I'll try to post here, when I've made it. Nicolasjager 00:58, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Redundancy Warning[]
I would like to point out that while it may be nice to be able to search through armors for a specific class, such a listing would bring with it much repetition, as armors genearally not specific to one class, but to two or more. For instance, a Fury upper armor might be available to pagans as well as oracles. This would require then, that the armor be listed twice, once in the pagan list or armors, and a second time in the oracle list.
Furthermore, if you plan to make these lists as detailed as I am making the armors listed by piece type, an edit to the attributes of an armor in question would need to be applied to all places where that armor is shown, and this could become a cumbersome task. Listing by type does not have this problem, since one piece of armor never belongs to two different armor types (ei, shoes are never gloves as well as being shoes).
May I ask in what manner it is planned to present the equipment in the lists by class? I would suggest that the detailed list of armors be only shown in the categories by type (shoes, gloves...), and the other lists of armors by class, are simply lists, with no description (and therefore would not need to be ever updated, save to add new items to the list), rather simply the name, and the link to the item listed in the section of armors by type. As an example, A list of Guardian armors, would be, of course, subdivided into either armor by type (shoes, gloves...), or armor by appearance/level (bronze, steel...) and would simply contain a list of the armors in that category (and subcategory), with their respective links. So, In the list of Guardian armors, if it is subcategorized by appearance, then in the list of Guardian armors, subcategory Chain-Steel armors, would be, among others, listed: [[Shoes#Chain-Steel|Chain-Steel Walker]] (that is, the name of the armor would be listed, and it would link to the armor in question on the list of armors by type). (It should be [[Shoes#Chain-Steel_Walker]]), but I'm unsure how to format the {{armor}} template such that this (more than the first word is accepted as the table id) is so.)

Armour[]
What we need to think about foremost.. is the people who are going to come here and try to make sense of the wiki. I agree, at the moment we have a lot of conflicting ideas and we need some structure. The templates are a good idea and I am 100% behind that but it is the last thing we should do until we get everything down that we want to include first.
- There are a few ways we could sort armour;
So Im guessing that my character has about 20 sets of armour available to her and multiply that it would mean approx 80 sets of armour accross 8 classes.
- This is how I am guessing the pages would look;
- by faction - 2 pages of 40 sets
- by class - 8 pages of 20 sets
- by type - 3 pages of 40 sets
- by piece - 5 pages of 80 pieces
Now Im thinking, if I was coming to this wiki to look for armour... I would want to see what it looks like on my character. The quickest thing I can associate with my character is her class and I would like to see what she can dream about in the near future ;) If I do sort it by class, I've automatically saved myself the task of "can I wear it?" and get straight into how good it is.
I would love to copy the idea from this wiki and have a small thumbnail gallery of each armor to click on.
You mentioned that a lot of armour will be duplicated but a link to Copper Armor on the Fighter Armor page is the same Copper Armor on the Defender Armor page. There is just some additional links rather than pages.

- What if we cleaned up the armor page and just used the tables from the Class page for the main armor page. Then, had different pages for each class + race. That would clear up the confusion of how some pages end up with light + fury side and/or different races on it as well. Then, have the page for the class + race look similar to how those GW wiki's have it setup. It would look a lot less confusing and look more polished. Foxysheri 13:22, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Another Option--Sortable[]
Template {{NPC List}}: Template:NPC List is coded such that the entries in NPC by Name may be sorted by name, map, or place.
Perhaps we could have one massive list of all armors, and have them sortable by name, type, class, piece and whatever else.
Perhaps it could be made "searchable" so one can search for: class=defender piece=gloves minlevel=20 maxlevel=33
Then only the armor which satisfy the search criteria would show up.
I'm uncertain as of yet, if this massive list should be a detailed list of all armors, or simply a list with links to the respective lists where the armors are shown in detail. However, if this "search" feature could be implemented, it wouldn't be so bad if this global list were detailed, as the quantity of items listed in a search would be less. I'll await your response. Images of Armor Worn[]
I would like to see images of all of the armor sets worn as well. Would be good if we could have a male and female version shown of each set. I saved the armor for my pagan (female) up to where I am now, which is almost to Morcelle set. I could upload those, but I don't know where to do so. Foxy1 14:15, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
